The Town has engaged local landscape architect, Angela Morin, to develop a conceptual design plan for Clock Park.  As part of this work Angela has developed two concept plans which explore different options for the design.  On July 24th an Open House was held at the Clock Park site to receive comments from the public on the two designs. The public can continue to provide comments until September 3rd.  These comments will be taken into consideration in preparation of a final concept design which will also be open for public comment and an additional open house meeting in the fall.  Links to the two concept plans, a background information sheet and a comments sheet are provided below.

Would also endorse Option #2 for the reasons stated by others. The comment about more benches is also valid, especially when considering performances, etc. Perhaps the staging area could one day offer an open speakers platform, something akin to Speaker's Corner at Hyde Park, London. Could be a popular venue that accentuate the educational, artisitic, and cultural diversity of our beautiful town

Prefer Option 2; integrates the park with the burial ground (central to the history of the Town), and prefer the way this option deliniates and provides entry points from both Main & Elm streets. I understand that the elevation of the existing red oak may be an issue - but could option 2 be modified to leave the tree where it is?

Both look great. Option 2 with the stage in the corner will be better for viewing live music. a circle stage in the middle perfomers will have their back to the street or to viewers at the park. But looks great can't wait to see it happen!

Option 2 all the way, but with more benches, especially in the shade. More seating will encourage people to take time to enjoy the space.

Big fan of option 2. Would add a second bench near to the clock.
