Department overview

To accomplish our objectives, the Department is organized into the following service divisions:

  • Business Services: Working with local businesses and business-focused organizations (WBDC, TIANS, ACOA) the department supports commercial development through attraction, retention and enhancement of businesses.
  • Visitor Services: Operating from the Wolfville Visitor Information Centre, the department provides valued services to thousands of visitors each year in an effort to enhance their visits and encourage extended and return visitation.
  • Cultural Services: Working with a wide range of community-based cultural organizations, department staff assist with funding, planning, promotion, execution and evaluation of cultural activities and events.
  • Recreation Services: Working closely with Wolfville School and with Wolfville’s many community based recreation organizations the department provides both direct and indirect support for recreation services in Wolfville.
