CAO's Welcome
Roy Brideau is the Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Wolfville. He is responsible to Council for the proper operation of Town affairs.
Roy believes that "one of the key elements of a successful municipal corporation is having a clear sense of its priorities and its future."
The Town of Wolfville Council and staff have adopted a focus on issues of sustainability. This focus began with the Wolfville Sustainability Initiative in 2005, and most recently has influenced the new Municipal Planning Strategy. Wolfville strives to be a more sustainable community that seeks a balance among the environmental, economic, social and cultural components of the community. Our goal is to create a better quality of life for both current and future generations. This goal leads us to filter all of our decision making through the lens of sustainability.
The Government exists to serve the needs and interests of its citizens. Our civic vision is of a community based on respect for all people, property, and the environment; a community in which there is adequate housing, appropriate employment, personal security, and cultural enjoyment.
"That's a tall order, but I am very proud of the management and staff of the Town of Wolfville, who work towards this vision."
The Town Staff endeavour to:
- Deliver proactive, effective, and responsive services.
- Promote citizen-based involvement and problem solving.
- Foster an atmosphere of quality service to citizens with an open and responsive manner.
- Promote learning, co-operation, and shared knowledge and resources.
- Encourage alternative, creative, and effective methods of service delivery.
- Support Council decision making.
"I am pleased to present to you the following information about our Organization and our Community"
