Dog Bylaw Summary
The purpose of the dog bylaw is to provide for orderly control of dogs in town.

- Licenses must be obtained annually.
- Dogs may not run at large.
- Dogs must be under control by means of a leash or harness, and if left unattended on a leash or harness a dog must not frighten or harass any passers-by.
- You must clean up any defecation made by your dog on another's property.
- You must ensure your dog does not attack, bite, chase, or injure any domestic animal or person.
- The Dog Control Officer or Town Police may capture and impound any dog which contravenes the Dog Bylaw.
- You may be fined if your dog contravenes the bylaw.
