Public Advisory Committees

Purpose of Public Advisory Committees

  • to review those matters presented to the Committee by other local boards and committees.
  • to ensure that the issues to be presented to Council are clearly understood and fully reported on
  • to review any policy implications and budgetary impacts and ensure that these are outlined for Council
  • to reduce the degree of overlap between any boards or committees so that Town resource use is maximized
  • to hear delegations on matters within the terms of reference of the public advisory committee
  • to consider departmental proposals

  • 2 members of Council (per Public Advisory Commitee)
