Public Advisory Committees
Purpose of Public Advisory Committees
- to review those matters presented to the Committee by other local boards and committees.
- to ensure that the issues to be presented to Council are clearly understood and fully reported on
- to review any policy implications and budgetary impacts and ensure that these are outlined for Council
- to reduce the degree of overlap between any boards or committees so that Town resource use is maximized
- to hear delegations on matters within the terms of reference of the public advisory committee
- to consider departmental proposals
