Public Communication and Participation PlanThe Town has engaged RAMP UP Consultants Carol Macomber and Maria Medioli to prepare a public communication and participation plan. The purpose of the exercise is to develop clear avenues for the public to stay informed and participate in town issues which affect them. The goal is to gain an understanding of the best municipal communication and public participation programs in the country and internationally, and ultimately to meet this standard. We need the public’s help to achieve this goal. Please click on the link below to view the project scope for the Public Communication and Participation Plan and stay tuned for more detail and opportunities to participate.

Who authorized the hiring? And how much are the consultants costing the Town? The answers to these questions have not been made public.
It appears that the Town did the hiring without any public notification or con-sultation.
Before hiring experts, the Town gov-ernment should have, at least initially, tried to make use of the abundant hu-man resources available in Wolfville. Formulating policies for communication and public participation are not like engineering a sewer system.
Is the irony lost on Town officials? Consultants hired to help with com-munication and increase public partici-pation without any communication or public consultation!
