Wolfville’s Earth Leadership Camps are not your ordinary summer camps! Our programs for youth aged 6-15 nurture an appreciation for the outdoors and provide opportunities for environmental education and exploration. Campers will learn and develop a passion for the environment through a variety of activities ranging from skill-building games, to learning how to build something useful from scratch, to super-fun field trips and visits from local experts, to community projects, to creative performances or other artistic displays. Each week has a different focus and theme, so choose your own adventure (or several), and come spend some time with us this summer!
Dates: July 4th-8th
Ages: 13-15
The perfect opportunity for youth aged 13-15 to get a hands-on learning experience and to build skills that will help them become future Earth Leaders in a fun and supportive environment. This camp is intended for youth who are interested in gaining experience in outdoor education with an eye towards working or volunteering in the field. Campers will work together to plan, organize and complete a community service project in Wolfville. ‘Graduates’ of this program will have opportunities to help lead summer camps for the Town of Wolfville for the rest of the summer and beyond.
Dates: July 11th-15th
Ages: 6-8
Calling all Explorers and Adventurers! We are inviting you to join us for a very important mission called “Expedition Wolfville”. Our adventures will introduce us to new habitats as we explore Wolfville's biodiversity. We will go on many exciting adventures around Wolfville looking for different ecosystems and wildlife. Each day we will log all the findings to create a map for the world to see what we discovered!
Dates: July 25th-29th
Ages: 9-13
Do you like to get outside and be active? Are you interested in learning survival skills? Then this is the camp for you! Campers will learn preliminary navigation skills, how to build a fire, create shelters, food foraging and other camping skills. This camp will also include a variety of outdoor recreation activities. Campers will earn badges after a new skill or activity is completed and we will put those skills to the test during our final day of camp.
Dates: August 8th- 12th
Ages: 7-13
This camp is open to youth who identify as female. Enjoy nature-themed yoga, daily hikes, learn wilderness skills, increase food awareness and try various outdoor recreation activities. Girls for Adventure provides a safe space for campers to feel connected as a team, have fun and learn together. Local leaders in our community that identify as female will join us to share their experiences and connect with you.
Dates: August 15th-19th
Ages: 9-13
We hope you come hungry to learn for this week-long camp focused on local food and healthy eating. Campers will learn about ‘Food as Fuel’ for the body and mind, as well as the importance of buying fresh and local food and the effect it has on the environment and your health. They will see firsthand where food is harvested locally, plant their own food, learn about food foraging and try cooking their own food. Bring your appetite to learn and have fun!
The Mudley Fund is a non-profit program that helps children and youth from the Town of Wolfville participate in sport, recreational, and cultural activities who could not otherwise do so because of financial limitations.
