The Town, the RCMP and Acadia are working to promote community safety in advance of unsanctioned events in the close-to-campus neighbourhood expected on Saturday, March 23.
Residents will see a larger than usual number of RCMP members in the community and Town compliance staff will start patrols early in the day.
Acadia is offering a full schedule of events and prize giveaways on Saturday to encourage folks to stay on campus.
Acadia events include:
- 10:00 am - 2:00 pm - Carnival in the SUB
- 12:00 noon -5:00 pm - Bubble Soccer on Raymond field
- 7:00-9:00 pm - Axe Factor 3.0 in Fountain Commons
- 9:00 pm - 12:00 am Silent Disco in Fountain Commons
Anyone with tips or complaints is asked to contact the RCMP so concerns can be responded to in a timely manner.
Acadia has also organized a community clean-up for Sunday, March 24 with a 9am meet-up at Meal Hall.
