Home Town Hall

Mayor's Welcome

In April, 2007 Wolfville became Canada's first Fair Trade Town. In September of 2008 the Town was awarded the highest award given by the Canadian Cancer Society, the award for Courage in Public Policy, in recognition of our ground breaking legislation as the first municipal government in Canada to ban smoking in cars when children are present.

We continue to receive much praise for the beauty and cleanliness of the Town as we prepare to enter the Communities in Bloom competition at the national level.

The Municipal Planning Strategy which has been approved by Council sets the stage for land use planning for the future under the umbrella of sustainability.

The wisdom and foresight of our citizens for their elected representatives puts Wolfville in the forefront of progressive municipal units in Nova Scotia and in some cases in Canada. We seek to address the concerns of today while identifying options for the future.

I invite you to share Wolfville with us.

You are welcome at Town Hall, 359 Main Street.
